HISTORY

The Children's Theatre Workshop was inspired by Kyra Walsh. Kyra is the 10 year old daughter of founder Joanie Walsh (she was 7 when she inspired Mom!) . Kyra loves to perform!  However, when her mother went searching for an acting class in Wilmington - there were none to be found. Her mother, having taken 10 years of acting classes and graduating from college with a minor in theatre arts believed that Kyra was not the only one looking for an acting class and decided to open The Children's Theatre Workshop.

Our goal is to offer affordable, fun theatre classes for children of Wilmington and the surrounding communities.   Though at first they weren't interested, Kyra's  twin brother Cameron and big brother Ryan are now "Into The Act!".  They have performed in numerous productions with CTW and Ryan even got a lead in the MIddle School Production of GREASE!

(Though they love theatre...I believe that basketball still remains the boys favorite!)
