Weekly  Classes

The Children's Theatre Workshop offers theatre classes to kids!  Please check our calendar to view our current times and schedules.

The children will engage in creative dramatic activities geared toward teaching them how to use their body and voice to "perform" and perfect their craft. During our classes ("workshops") our actors will enjoy, music, dance, script reading, imagination journeys, playing pretend, enacting stories, creating stories, improvisation and of course their favorite...playing theatre games!

Children are encouraged to participate in a full year of the workshops (Spring and Fall semesters) as each workshop will continue to improve a childs ability and get them ready for "the show" at the end of the session.  As our program grows so will our class selection - focusing on themes and different aspects of theatre for actors of different levels."Our classes are designed to teach

children how to use their body and voice to

"perform" but more importantly

 to build their self-esteem."

 Putting on a Show

For those children who would like to be involved in a show there will be an opportunity to do so. Over the past year we have put on Snow White, Peter Pan, "A Christmas Carol" , "Aesops Fables" , "1000 Cranes" and many other plays. Twas the Night Before Christmas".  Our "shows" are not elaborate productions.  They are "just enough" to give the kids a sense of performing in front of a live audience and to celebrate all they learned throughout the session.

  Note:  Performances are optional/not required.
