ALL CLASSES ARE AT THE WILMINGTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH UNLESS LISTED OTHERWISE "Imagine That" (Ages 4-6) - The perfect introduction to "little actors". The kids in this class will learn the basics of "the stage" and work on a play to be performed at the end of the session. Theatre games, icebreakers and music and movement excercises are also a part of the class curriculum. A wonderful class for little ones interested in theatre or for those little ones who are trying to "come out of their shell". No child is ever forced to be in the show or participate. Cost $90 "Theatre Workshop" (Grades 1-5) - Once a week TWO class times to choose from! A high energy fun filled hour and a half of Theatre Games, Improvisation Exercises and Play Rehearsal geared toward building self-esteem in kids! Theatre Workshop I and II run at the same time. During the first two classes, teachers work with students and divide them up according to skill level and age. Students will be place in Theatre Workshop I or Theatre Worskhop II. Plays being considered for the upcoming session include: "The Emperors New Clothes" and "The Bestest Christmas Present Ever" Cost: $130 Voice Workshop: This is a CTW favorite for singers! Students will learn proper voice techniques, warm ups and voice care while learning to sing in harmonies and counter-melodies. Fun, upbeat songs are chosen with mild choreography added in. Opportunities for solo work as well. We have two levels; Elementary Voice and Middle School Voice. Voice Workshop is always a fun favorite for the CTW kids! Final performace for parents and friends at the end of session. Cost: $120 ($100 if you are also doing theatre workshop) Pizza & A Play: This is a fun, social theatre class for middle schoolers. We work on acting skills, improvisation, comedy, drama and theatre games. Oh! And we eat pizza! Bring $5.00 each week if you want pizza and soda. During this time we also work on a workshop style play (nothing formal...just fun!). This class is scheduled for 6:00-7:30 for the Fall (previously was 7:00-9:00. This is a change for Fall only). Cost: $130 HONK! - AUDITIONS are September 18 and September 19 at 7pm at the United Methodist Church. (Only one audition time is required) Rehearsals will be spread out across Mon/Tues/Fri and Sun. Not all actors will need to be at all rehearsals. We will work with kids schedules. HOWEVER, if your child is trying for a lead part please know that Mondays and Tuesdays are going to be primary days for lead rehearsals while "group work" will be spread out across the other days.
